Crowds, Coins, and the Coming Reset: Will the Rulers Redirect or Fall?

The Timeless Game of Coins and Crowns
In the eternal cycles of history, empires rise and fall, backed always by physical gold — the unchanging anchor that all parties agree to hoard and steal in repeating patterns.
That precious metal rests for years, quietly marking itself as the yardstick of daily life’s economics, with layer upon layer of rules and currencies we all live by.
And then the creators of the prevailing system pass away, and the managers move in to carve up the pie, from fruit they did not harvest from an orchard garden they did not plan or plant.
As always, we have reached that time when the old institutions throttle innovation to save themselves.
Today, in this electric age of instantaneous global connection, blockchain, and decentralized finance, centralized fiat empires face their greatest challenge: a decentralized unity overtaking their control, as people, ideas, and value link across distances in real time.
That is the shift we are all living through. And so, again, gold and silver are rising from their sleep.
The Electric Shift: From Mechanical Separation to Unified Fields
Science echoes this transformation.
The universe is mostly plasma — the fourth state of matter, where charged particles respond as one across vast distances via electromagnetic fields.
Quantum entanglement illustrates further: linked particles act in instant harmony.
If you alter one, its partner reflects the change instantly, with no signal we can see travel down a road to carry the instructions.
Like fingers closing into a fist, true power emerges when many move as one.
Electromagnetic media — radio, television, internet, blockchain — compresses time and space, bypassing handwritten messages crossing bridges to the next village, paying the trolls’ fees, as they lie wait to extract at every crossing.
Crowds and Power: The Primal Dynamics
Elias Canetti’s Crowds and Power reveals the forces at play.
A crowd is a group of individuals who lose ‘themselves’ in a unit analogous to a single quantum field.
The crowd’s “discharge”, the loss of their individual power to become part of a closed system crowd, creates profound equality, dissolving hierarchies, and giving each person inside it a feel that they are now as powerful as those ruling over them.
“Suddenly it is as though everything were happening in one and the same body.” – Canetti
Canetti says the “reversal crowd” threatens rulers the most. This is the oppressed citizens inverting authority, and using their united strength to topple kings, as in the French Revolution.
The rulers who see the citizens stir in anger work hard to redirect the forming reversal crowd. They seed fear through media to try to change the mob into a crowd that works as one to flee a danger.
A danger that the rulers either create or deceive the citizens into believing.
They aim to scare the crowd right into:
- Running to the ruler’s solution (think CBDCs), or
- Redirecting their anger towards an invented scapegoat for outward baiting (think of the current wars, political opponents or rumours of war).
If the rulers succeed in flipping the angry crowd into one that is either afraid or has a common enemy (or both), the elite keep their throne while the masses chase shadows and finally go home exhausted.
The Financial Reset: Geopolitics Meets Sound Money
Geopolitics and geoeconomics converge on the coming financial reset.
Overextended debt erodes trust, while sound money endures. Gold has climbed to fresh records around $4,534 per ounce. Silver — the common citizens’ metal, vital for industry — surged even stronger, around $70 per ounce last week, fueled by solar, EVs, electronics, and safe-haven demand.
Now, on a weekend, JM Bullion, APMEX and SD bullion, three large bullion dealers, have increased their silver price even though the market is closed.
This is a very unusual move, according to @yarr “Silver Babe #Gotsilver?” on X:
Recent signals, like looser crypto rules for banks, show the old guard is conceding, as decentralized money flourishes in new gardens of innovation.
Economic pressures — inflation, debasement, inequality — forge shared stress, so individuals have become a crowd that is reversing top-down control through instant coordination.
Like plasma. Citizen’s stress is causing a worldwide crowd, a closed system that crosses borders, time and space.
The Binary Outcome
Rulers face two paths: they’ll either be overthrown by the reversal crowd or they’ll be triumphant in redirecting all nations into a new global system with advanced tech masking continued fee extraction, Their hope is to control worldwide nations, with humans connected through digital money, but still divided and subverted under the central banking model’s centralized wheel hub.
This is the season when institutional managers circle tightly to protect the old structure, glossing over or burying exploitation and misconduct that might tarnish its appearance.
Meanwhile, decentralized finance and a garden of new creators flourish freely, building sovereign resilience amid a dying fiat order.
New tech has meant new forms of money, private money.
Central bank speech have already repeated that they only care when that private money goes onto the fiat rails to pay taxes; then they care. Their hubris means they weren’t tracking the stablecoin explosion and the high leverage of non-bank players.
They are really worried now.
We are living through an era that’s fluid. No one knows how it will land because the legacy rulers are just waking up now that the horse, the cow and all the chickens have left the stable, and it’s possible to create a new power balance.
At least some of those aware will become part of a new system and avoid some control. That’s what’s in play.
A quiet building.
As this cycle intensifies, the coming song “The Bankers’ Ball” captures the hubris of the elite toasting amid the flames, a timeless warning renewed for our electric era:
The Bankers’ Ball
Searing towns torched in flame
Model wings crash in pain
Hidden hands fanning breeze
no glue left to bond or breathe
Keepers scare the hordes (and hoards) at home
Pitchforked peasants gnawing bones
Crusts and clowns for thee was said
Tellings of tipping and losing one’s head
Children lined up facing the wall
Vested interest a shame for us all
The circle, the cycle, the backyard swing
While the media decorate the hall
getting ready for the bankers ball

Awareness is spreading virally.
Mike Maloney’s Hidden Secrets of Money series on YouTube has over 160 million views.
Episode 1, featuring the song “Coins and Crowns” and explaining these themes, has surpassed 6.4 million views, awakening many to currency versus true money.
Building on the recent articles like “The Sound of Money Dying” — where I trace debasement from ancient Rome to today’s fiat dilution — these cycles remind us: when their money fails as money, the crowd stirs.
When the crowds seethe at home, gold and silver rise in value against the paper and promises.
Though they were always the yardstick.
Gold has stayed still, while everything else, all currencies and traded value, is reevaluated against it.
See the cycles, recognize their redirection.
Align sovereignly. Gently consider gold, silver, and sound decentralized assets as this electric field grows.
The pendulum swings most certainly. We’ve seen it over and over if we care to look in the rear view mirror.
Remember that winter comes, and it’s hard and bitter, but brilliant spring always follows.

Thank you to the late David Crosby for his kind messages, including the DM on X (formerly Twitter) saying this song, Terrible Breeze, has excellent lyrics and good music, and his encouragement to get out there and sing.
A Terrible Breeze (War and Social Media)
The news comes down
A little ex (X) bluebird sings
Words of war
Fire and furious things
Of testing might
‘Til no patience knows
If keeping still
Still keeps you safe at home
There’s a terrible breeze
They speak of today
Of threats that used to live a world away
We all know wind
Can blow both ways
And a terrible breeze can blow it all away
A worldwide net
Sees our village grow
Until we all forget
What each one used to know
How a blind bird’s wings
Can reach the shore
And turn the wheel of peace and war
Village fools sinking down, down, down
Debt and gold wound in numbered shrouds
Deal of a life it’s bread and clowns
Can we afford another go around?
The news comes down.
It’s a terrible breeze. The news comes down.

from the album Preparing for the Fall.
The copybooks of the early 1900s gave us all the wisdom we need. The sayings that were copied are the truths, the gods of our world. All the empires who followed the gods of the marketplace have fallen, and there’s terror and slaughter when the gods of the copybook headings return. The lyrics are by Rudyard Kipling. One of my gurus.
