The Pendulum Swing of Society: From Organism to Collective to Hybrid Models in a Decentralizing World

The Pendulum Swing of Society: From Organism to Collective to Hybrid Models in a Decentralizing World

Three Historical Views of Society

There are three ways historically of viewing a society.

One is that the society is an organism as a whole, in that the individual parts play a role that functions for the good of the whole organism and not individually for themselves.

And so, each part is able to be sacrificed for the survival of the whole organism, as we would amputate a body part that is cancerous for the survival of the person.

Two is that the society is a collective of individuals that behave autonomously for their own benefit. In this way, each part is identical and can replace any other part, and so each is in competition with the other parts inside the society, as opposed to working together in competition with an outside force.

The third is a hybrid, in that the individual is free to decide and does not merely live under the control of the ruling force in a role that could be sacrificed without consent. In this model the individual is free to join together with others and play a role inside an organism that exists inside the society for the benefit of the individuals, which also benefits the society.

Historical and Modern Examples of the Organism Model

The Ancient Greeks and Hitler both saw society as an organism, and so that each part lived to serve the whole.

Historian Carroll Quigley in The Evolution of Civilizations said, “For in an organism the parts exist for the sake of the whole and are subordinate to it; they must be sacrificed if necessary for the welfare of the whole.”

The European Union has this same view of the Union being an organism, and has continually sacrificed the economic welfare of some sovereign nations in it for the benefit of others and the whole.

Their speeches have said this over and over, as they admit this has happened. Now, they are trying to get the nations inside it to officially give over their rule to the governing body, telling them how to run their own people, take in more immigration than they want, sacrifice financial decisions for the good of the union.

The Current Global Shift Toward Decentralization

The European Union will fail in the next few years as the world is decentralizing and each culture is moving from a global organism back into a decentralized either collective or else hybrid model.

With the hybrid model the system can maintain itself as a society, while still saying that the state exists for the benefit of the individual instead of the other way around.

The organism model exists on the idea that the individual lives for the benefit of the society.

These three ways are the swing from centralized to decentralized organization.

This is the pendulum swing of society, culture and human interaction. It can be pushed in momentum from inside or outside.

Internal and External Forces Driving the Pendulum

From inside, there is a human internal push to expand to potentiality.

So, the child pushes the boundaries until the parent says “no” and enforces it. And so, the individual will cross on a red light, or break a law or statute to see if they can get away with it.

In this way there are society’s laws but there are also social, cultural laws. When groups of people from different cultures are put together, it is the difference between these two types of laws that causes friction, and the society adapts, or it cements if one side is losing its culture or living standard, and ends up in a civil conflict.

The pendulum swing from centralized rule to decentralized rule is playing out globally at this time.

In a society this can be brought about through a physical presence geographically, or through political, economic or military means.

But the biggest catalyst is through technology.

This happened with the development of the wheel, the domestication of animals, the stirrup, the gun, the atomic bomb and many other catalysts.

Those with power fear losing it and so become more authoritarian, and the new tech holders take advantage of the corruption that has weakened the bonds holding the current structure.

A society that does not adapt, and becomes too stagnant or “integrated”, as Quigley puts it, does not survive.

We can go back to the metaphor of the innovators planting a new garden, dying, followed by an age of administrators who only harvest and divide what the gardeners grew.

They divide the pie into smaller and smaller slices as the corrupt pay off friends to gain an advantage.

Until the individual is sacrificed for the survival of the organism and corrupt rulers plunder, steal and exploit, paying off the victim and exerting more and more NDAs.

This where we are at with the Epstein situation. Society will not abide it anymore as decentralized power gains more and more of a foothold on the whole.

Those societies that do not adapt cease to be, or are taken over by another civilization that is using a new technology to bond their people and expand.

An example, again from Quigley, is when some Aztec cultures added human sacrifice to their religion.

This put them at a disadvantage against an enemy.

They changed their warfare to try to capture the enemy in order to sacrifice them, whereas the enemy, the Spaniards when they arrived, sought to kill the Aztecs.

The Transformation of Global Money and Technology

The monetary system globally is being re-formed to involve digital, and so representational money that is private in its own ecosystem.

This can be done quietly and slowly, then all at once, or else it can be done by completely blowing up the current infrastructure and then bringing in a new system, which citizens will adopt out of sheer desperation for food and shelter.

Using new technology, which combines and brings down the cost of separate parts of the fiat system, a private ecosystem has the ability to transfer value, exchange and settle transactions for less than a penny in a few seconds.

Whoever facilitates it has access to the user’s data, and can aggregate benefits or offer their customers advantages to stay with them.

If the central banking model facilitates it with their own Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDCs), then the governments through their central banks, have access to every transaction and can see the private details of citizens – their religion, political sway, travel, books – and can crush an opponent, like Canada did to citizens that donated to a protest cause.

Another dystopic result of a CBDC is that it is programmable, so the government can freeze the money, or make it only work for certain products or in certain places. The citizen is at the complete mercy of the state, as an organism.

The impediment to this is the laws of each nation, which are made for the benefit of each nation, whereas the global system is made as a global organism and the BIS and UN want to rule it for the benefit of the system.

Powers at the top, the elite, are fighting to rule the new emerging system, which could be the traditional financial system, centrally controlled by central banking, benefitting commercial banks and the central United Nations system.

The commercial banks benefit by the current system, and so are fighting the developing stablecoin rules that would allow private citizens to earn yield instead of the bank.

The current system was created by the winners of World War II, and it views the world as an organism, with each nation as a part that exists for the benefit of the whole.

Or, the winner could be the new private tech system, which is owned by private corporations, being your Google, Meta, Apple and other tech giants that own the data of aggregates of human behavior and purchases.

They own the payment rails, and now through new tech in banking, are able to flip the centralized system to decentralized, which then solidifies in a multi-polar privately owned financial system.

In this decentralized system (which will eventually swing to become another organism based centralized system in generations), the whole in decentralized is viewed as a collective instead of an organism.

The tech system sees each individual around the globe as part of a collective, replaceable by another purchaser, interchangeable and individually not needed for the collective to succeed.

The hybrid is the true decentralized digital system, where the individuals come together to form a society organically for the individual’s benefit, inside a whole society.

We see this inside new startups using different blockchains and different ecosystem Layer 1s and tokenization.

This is where we are today.

The digital payment system, the whole system, swinging from hub of the wheel to rim of the wheel.

AI, Agents, X402 and the Broader Conflicts

Then add artificial intelligence, being used as a tool and a promise.

But it makes things up often and cannot deliver, yet anyways, on promises, but is still being integrated into new systems at the fear of losing advantage to another nation or company bringing it in whether it’s using true facts or made up “facts”.

This is not organism based. It’s pure collectivism and competition.

Tie this into AI agents and X402 payment rails, which is these AI agents making purchases on behalf of humans, on agent rails into digital and fiat rails, with their own autonomy and wallets and funds, and then inevitably making payments for their own benefit.

The conflicts we see in the physical and digital worlds are these different models ‘warring’ for a critical mass winner.

Unipolar?

Multipolar?

While the larger forces are pushing, bluffing, contacting, assassinating, negotiating and definitely not telling the public what is happening behind the fog of war, the individual’s best interest is served by looking after their individual best interest financially.

Less third party dependence.

Gold and silver have historically been the solid backbone when civilizations clash and the outcome and steps are unknown.

Don’t be surprised if gold soon becomes part of the backing of the reserve currency.

The bigger the change made to the system, the quieter the creators are while it’s being developed.

Gold should pull back in the short term and then continue its sharp rise as the next phases are being prepared.

So we watch the wind. It will hint at the timing.

A Terrible Breeze    (War and Social Media)

The news comes down
A little (X) bluebird sings
Words of war
Fire and furious things
Of testing might
‘Til no patience knows
If keeping still
Still keeps you safe at home

There’s a terrible breeze
They speak of today
Of threats that used to live a world away
We all know wind
Can blow both ways
And a terrible breeze can blow it all away

A worldwide net
Sees our village grow
Until we all forget
What each one used to know
How a blind bird’s wings
Can reach the shore
And turn the wheel of peace and war

Village fools sinking down, down, down
Debt and gold wound in numbered shrouds
Deal of a life it’s bread and clowns
Can we afford another go around?
The news comes down.

It’s a terrible breeze. The news comes down.

The Gods of the Copybook Headings

words by Rudyard Kipling and music by Elaine Diane Taylor

from the album Preparing for the Fall.

The copybooks of the early 1900s gave us all the wisdom we need. The sayings that were copied are the truths, the gods of our world. All the empires who followed the gods of the marketplace have fallen, and there’s terror and slaughter when the gods of the copybook headings return. The lyrics are by Rudyard Kipling. One of my gurus.

Another Week on Wall Street

from the album Coins and Crowns.

A little grease (Greece) is floating out to sea, and little pigs (Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain) are bobbing up and down, they’ll send a storm and we’ll see, when the tide goes out who’s naked on the beach“. The world is changing as we know it.
