So Goes the Way With the Death of the Dollar
We’ve traveled the highway of straight lined tar
We’ve read printed type as a line up of cars
Assembly lines choking with power and speed
And so goes the line to the death of the dollar
We’ve learned all the letters as Gutenberg knew
Efficient and uniform, thoughts and clues
Assembly line minds and rules and lives
and so goes the way with the life of the dollar
Factory mills and factory minds
pieces of process and need to know kind
Who knows the storyline
Who knows the way
As we sail with the wind to the death of the dollar
The field of the TV mosaic of news
instant at once the global few
You can feel the same, the same as I do
as we watch and we drive to the death of the dollar
We dashed and we dotted in telegraph lines
In photos of pixels and lines on wires
It ended in chaos and glaring white light
And so goes the way with the death of the dollar
If racing the masses to the finishing line
Means holidays for the banking kind
We’ll only find pitches and forks and signs
And so goes the way with the death of the dollar
Round
and
Round
goes the Wheel
as the Rod gives way
The very last snowflake
The icepack sways
and so goes the way
with the death of the dollar
