All the gold mining stocks at Kitco.com are up today, except for two. That’s unusual.

It could mean they’ve hit bottom and the swing back has started — even quietly. The gold iWatch is creating demand, but it’s not the only place where the desire for gold is coming from.

Russia and China are still buying hand over fist. A jewelry billionaire in India is dealing with his belief in a coming shortage and price jump by looking to buy a gold mine in Australia. Also in India, temples are going to be offered interest to loan their gold to bankers who will melt it down and re-loan it out.

With the unprecedented money printing and debt, and if the goal of those in power is to have gold and inflation rise in a controlled manner, this is something to watch.

Jury is still out on whether we’ll be getting a mammoth dose of inflation or deflation, which is why most large players are keeping cash and physical gold. But we’re going to get something.

Gold is back up above $1,200 US per ounce, but it hovers around and jumps up and then down.

Overall it’s rising now and mining stocks have joined in.

As the manipulation of the price of gold is pretty much a given at this point, then watching it jump up $25 per ounce and then quickly move down, and repeat, could be the players in the game of Coins and Crowns trying keep the lid on a pot that’s crammed full of dominos.

The pot isn’t just going to boil over with the increasing pressure. Dominos aren’t just going to knock each other over in a pretty line, one by one.

Instead the pressure may blow little dotted pieces all over the room and take out an eye.

Ahhhhhh… mixing up metaphors turns it into something a little more symbolic than metaphoric.

I personally took a breather from researching a book for the gold and geopolitical newbie. I thought it was time to create something just for fun.

Cover_VeryBestJokesforKidsSo I made a children’s joke book. :)

Just released in kindle format in case you’d like to have a look. Available on Amazon with my new Smarty Pants Press imprint. Funny and clean kids jokes. Definitely nothing to do with doom or economic crashes. Ahhhhhh.

And….back to gold. I’m heading into the woods of western Canada next week to an area with gold mining ghost towns. I’ll be taking my guitar and my gold pan.
