Gold and Silver Up

IMF and SDRs
Gold and silver are surging today, but still hanging around $1,200 US per ounce. Since manipulation in price is a given now, it won’t go much higher until all the big players like China and India, Russia, and Singapore have what they want in their reserves.
The US dollar as world reserve currency is coming to an end in the not-too-distant-future and all the players are stacking up gold to have something to deal with when the new rules of the game are made.
Russia and Iran are now trading in rubles, and lots of non-US dollar trading is going on between countries now. The AIIB is gaining members, with Iran and UAE now becoming founding members, and the IMF is dealing with the idea of adding yuan to their basket of currencies making up the SDR. Let’s wait and see what the US veto does.
The Game of Coins and Crowns is moving along and pieces are in the set up phase with a few big moves before pieces are traded and taken off the board. If you follow the tells you can learn where they might move next and how to position to be in the best spot.
Me, I’m writing and sitting quietly in the woods balancing life. Our micro lives move in waves just like the waves on the lake, and just like countries in the macro world. There’s a time to expand and a time to contract and build.
When you mix up the movement, and try to move when it’s time build, you mess things up and waste a lot of energy.
Let’s take the path of least resistance and enjoy each swing back and forth.

I’m staying in a little town in the interior of British Columbia, Canada, along the historic Gold Rush Trail, a few hours northeast of Whistler.
I have my guitar and gold pan, and I’ve been panning by a waterfall deep in the woods.
There’s a chipmunk who visits outside the window, and every day I walk down a rustic trail to my favourite lake and meadow spots to research and write.
Yesterday I found an abandoned driveway in the woods with an overgrown orchard. I stayed there for hours in the sunshine, and a hummingbird hung out with me for the longest while. We were enjoying the apple blossoms and meadow.
Deer and interesting birds and ducks are my neighbours. The days are long and the air is alpine.
Drove to the end of a long, long road and found a sign warning of Grizzlies in the area. I hopped out for a photo but I’ll take the signs advice and steer clear for hikes. Apparently the black bears are close but don’t pay any mind. Only the cougars are something to keep an eye out for.
I’m looking forward to recording out in the woods. Meadow sounds in the background will be so sweet. :)
