New Release – Six Feet Wide (coronavirus)

Six Feet Wide

It’s a fortnight for a sign
But it burns blood red in the sky
Silent war passing by
We all stay home now waiting
I’m waiting to hold you tight
My arms are held out six feet wide

Unseen foe in flight
Luck and evil entwined
Heroes masked to fight
We stand in line now waiting
We’re waiting to hold on tight
Our arms are held out six feet wide

Quiet road and minds
Crossing borderline
Coins and gold unwind
The earth is trembling waiting
We wash our hands flat lined
Our hands are held out six feet wide

It’s a fortnight for a sign
But it burns blood red in the sky
Silent war passing by
We all stay home now waiting
I’m waiting to hold you tight
My arms are held out six feet wide
I’m aching to hold you tight
My arms are held out six feet wide

My heart goes out to those who have loved ones in the hospital that they can’t hug and comfort.

Thank you to the medical professionals and critical services workers.

I’m concerned for the political power grabs happening, and the ramp up of fear by the media. But the virus is real and the pain felt by those affected is real. I feel for them. And for everyone who can’t see and hug the people they love right now.

The financial collapse was already in motion before Covid-19 came about. It diverts attention away from those who should have a spotlight in their direction, but we’ll all see how this unfolds. Digital currency was already in the works.

The photo is from a hike three days ago in the woods above Kelowna, B.C., Canada.

Yesterday they shut down the trail, so I’m glad I got a few shots and some fresh air before the signs went up.

Physical gold and silver are getting hard to come by and the premium (mark up for the seller) used to be 2 – 4% above the spot price, and now is about 10% or more above. But still a lucky find at this time. The world is truly trembling and those in power are jostling to try to keep that upper hand as the pandemic tosses a monkey wrench into plans. Order can come from chaos, but a plandemic can be tough to manage. We’re all watching and taking care of small things. Inflation comes when you’re looking the other way. The printing press at the Fed and other central banks are all going brrrrrrrr day and night. World currencies are dropping so watch for the U.S. dollar and physical things like gold and silver to rise against the falling currencies.

The world is yin and yang. The financial world expanded further and further beyond it’s stability point and so it will come back hard. Right now it’s a good idea to look after home things. Quiet things. Planting and tending what we already have is a good use of time as the world pulls back.

I hope you find quiet joys and small triumphs in this time.

I hope the new song rings and feels for you. Empathy and communal feeling is a healthy and healing thing. We are not alone.

It’s my birthday today! I’m celebrating it with social distancing. :)

Elaine~

A Terrible Breeze    (War and Social Media)

The news comes down
A little bluebird sings
Words of war
Fire and furious things
Of testing might
‘Til no patience knows
If keeping still
Still keeps you safe at home

It’s a terrible breeze
They speak of today
Of threats that used to live a world away
We all know wind
Can blow both ways
And a terrible breeze can blow it all away

A worldwide net
Sees our village grow
Until we all forget
What each one used to know
How a blind bird’s wings
Can reach the shore
And turn the wheel of peace and war

Village fools sinking down, down, down
Debt and gold wound in numbered shrouds
Deal of a life it’s bread and clowns
Can we afford another go around?
The news comes down.

It’s a terrible breeze. The news comes down.

The Gods of the Copybook Headings

words by Rudyard Kipling and music by Elaine Diane Taylor

from the album Preparing for the Fall available on iTunes

The copybooks of the early 1900s gave us all the wisdom we need. The sayings that were copied are the truths, the gods, of our world. All the empires who followed the gods of the marketplace instead have fallen, and there’s terror and slaughter when the gods of the copybook headings return. The lyrics are by Rudyard Kipling. One of my gurus.

Another Week on Wall Street

A little grease (Greece) is floating out to sea, and little pigs (Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain) are bobbing up and down, they’ll send a storm and we’ll see, when the tide goes out who’s naked on the beach“. The world is changing as we know it.
