Bitcoin Barbarians was inspired by an episode of the news program Keiser Report with Max Keiser, where he likened the rise of those using and investing in the new crypto-currency, Bitcoin, to barbarians running through the gates overtaking Rome. As the Roman Empire fell the peasants opened the gates and let the newcomers enter because they were so unhappy with the state of affairs.

So it is today. The peasants are unhappy with the rulers and the creation of endless fiat currency which is turning their savings into worthless pieces of paper.

The peasants are looking for a currency created fairly, and traded fairly for goods and services without unfair banking fees. The bankers have played and the people have been robbed of their savings through inflation and fees.

The American dollar is in decline as the world reserve currency, and though a present day version of Rome’s bread and circuses is a distraction from that harsh reality, the peasants are feeling it.

They are welcoming the barbarians. The Ponzi game of fiat currency is reaching its maximum limit.

Gold and silver are safety in a financial crisis, but along with the precious metals there is a new means of exchange.

It’s a new race to the gate. Barbarians are bringing with them a new virtual financial world that will challenge the old.

And the gate is opened wide.

Bitcoin Barbarians

Bitcoin barbarians at the gate
Opened wide – the peasants can’t wait
For they were robbed while the bankers played
So the penny’s gonna drop in this coin race

Ruled and run
by a dollar and a gun
The world is spun
by some media fun
And a Ponzi game
in Caesar’s name
is virtually done
There’s a new race

Circus shows
for the taxed and owned
Bread in Rome
while they reap what’s sown
And a Ponzi game
in Caesar’s name
is virtually done
There’s a new race

Gold and silver safe and sound
Empires crashing all around

Bitcoin barbarians at the gate
Opened wide – the peasants can’t wait
For they were robbed while the bankers played
So the penny’s gonna drop in this coin race
